Where the timeless tradition of the Finnish sauna meets the exhilarating embrace of the Irish Sea. Sauna Môr offers a unique experience of contrast therapy in its purest form, whilst immersed in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Be present, dive into the elements and embrace the healing power of nature

The contrast of the cosy, warm sauna with the refreshing, cold sea is the perfect combination leaving you revitalised and naturally uplifted. This year round activity is appreciated even more so in the autumn and winter periods as it enables you to sit back, relax and breathe whilst taking in the wild coastal weather.

What To Expect

We are an off-grid sauna, meaning we don’t have any connection to electricity or running water. You can expect a cosy, warm sauna with epic views of the sea and landscape.

It is up to you, how you use your time during your sauna session. The traditional Finnish sauna experience consists of rounds in the sauna warming up, usually 5 - 15 minutes, followed by a cooling off in between rounds. You can cool off by getting in the sea or by using the fresh, cold water provided. We have buckets, jugs and watering cans full of fresh water to cool yourself down with if you don’t fancy a cold plunge in the sea.

We have a small changing area in the sauna, please note that this does not provide you with privacy for getting changed, it is more an area to store your clothes whilst in the sauna. If you do wish to use the changing area this must be done within your booked time slot. To get the most out of your sauna session, we recommend coming ‘sauna ready’ with your bathing suit already on under your clothes.

It is really important to stay hydrated whilst you sauna. We have drinking water to refill your water bottle if required during your session.

There are toilets and cold outdoor showers next to the National Trust visitor centre at the entrance of the car park. Please note that this car park can fill up on weekends and Bank Holidays, we recommend allowing some extra time during busy periods to ensure you get parked in time for your sauna session.
